Leah Angeli

Leah Angeli is a registered Clinical Psychologist. Leah completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree from Flinders University in 2001. She then completed her Masters of Psychology (Clinical) degree from the University of Adelaide in 2003. Leah is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
Throughout her career, Leah has had the opportunity to work with:
– typically developing children
– anxious and/or resistant children
– developmentally delayed children
– intellectually delayed children
– children with medical or genetic disorders
– children with speech and language disorders
– children with physical disabilities (such as Cerebral Palsy)
– children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder and ADHD.
Leah has worked in a number of different areas such as school settings, organisations and private practice. She has also worked in multi-disciplinary settings (ie. working closely with occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists and paediatricians).
Leah offers different psychological strategies depending on the client’s needs. All psychological treatment is evidence based. Treatment can involve Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and standard behaviour modification practices. Treatment is also supported with attachment theory, positive parenting practices and an understanding of child development. Leah takes a family centered approach when working with children and their parents.
Over the years, Leah has developed a passion for helping children with toileting. Leah’s warmth and caring nature is felt by children and their families alike.
